The County of Wiltshire is divided into three geographical police areas or Divisions. Malmesbury Police Section is within 'C' or Chippenham Division that covers North and West Wiltshire.
The Section provides policing for an area of 25,054 Hectares, a population of 17,702 and 7,042 dwellings.
The police establishment for the Section comprises of a Sergeant; ten constables and four Special constables. Specialist support including the Criminal Investigation Department; Traffic Patrol, Dog Section and the Air Support Unit.
