it was quite amazing to see a picture of my mom and uncle who used to live in malmesbury, i havnt had contact with my mom since 93. i dont remember her having pictures from back then. her name was helen magee and she had a brother kevin. anyone remember her?

My dad, Ian Walker was at EKCO in Malmesbury until 1960-ish. We had a prefab in Cowbridge Crescent although we lived at the Priory when I was born. He's 88 now and sight is poor but he's got the internet and will look up the website. Super!

Hi,brilliant website. I'm researching my family tree and looking for descendants of Charles Clarke born around 1806 married to Mary White. I believe Charles was related to Maurice Clarke born 1827 who emigrated to America in 1848 and started Standard Oil. Can anyone help me tie these two together ?

I thought I would have a look for things on Ekco, as my Granddad, Dad and Uncle all worked there. Granddad (Reg Simons) was at Southend, and when they were bombed out at home, moved to Aylesbury, where they and my Dad (Harold) and his brother (Mike) lived. Dad was in a reserved occupation, but drove a taxi in Aylesbury. After the war they moved back to Southend and lived on Eastern Avenue. Granddad went back to work at Ekco, Dad moved to Brentwood, and Uncle Mike carried on for Ecko Electronics, and then Plastics, and still lives in Leigh on Sea. Granddad died in the 1960's, and Dad, last year. What an interesting site, though, I had no idea of Ekco's involvement in the development of radar even though I am keen on military and WW2 history.

the Reynolds family who used to live in Hobbes close, Kath, Gill, Caroline and others are they still about in Malmesbury. a wonderful family who I lost touch with years ago.
