Here is a picture of the only decent cliff climb over here and probably the last as it seems retirement has come early to me. I'm not bothered though. I've never been one for hard work and that is definitely a big part of climbing in this valley.
I went to L.A. on the week end to see the Winston World Finals. I was given a free pass by National Dragster (official NHRA mag) chief photographer who dropped me off in the staging area. The pass guaranteed me a seat in the best stand. Phelps and Herridge were there with the Blue Max outfit (now world champions on points). Garlits won the event but Bruins got the title on points in Top Fuel. There were 30 FCs and 30 AA fuelers at this meet along with 30 cars in each of the other six categories plus bikes including RC and TV (just Pro Street and Top Fuel). No new world records and only 3 x 5 second passes. Two jet cars with afterburners were match raced - that was something else. US Army also put on the best parachute display you're ever likely to see. I enjoyed it.
See ya Greg.
