WAR FACTORY
MASS-OBSERVATION

In a tiny country town of ancient cottages and winding streets, with traditions going back to Saxon times, there has suddenly sprung up in a matter of months, a modern war factory employing nearly 1,000 people, staffed mainly by brisk, town-bred men who have no connection with the locality.

Above is a short extract from the book :

"War Factory" - 'Mass-Observation'

The book I read is from Malmesbury library and tells of life in the town and working in the secret Radar factory during World War Two, first printed in 1943, this copy being published in 1987.

The publisher is Century Hutchinson Ltd and is in,
The Cresset Library series.
Preface - Celia Fremlin 1987
Introduction - Dorothy Sheridan 1987
